TGA Infrared-Thermogravimetric Analyzer

TGA-FTIR is a thermogravimetric-infrared coupling technique that combines the techniques of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

In TGA-FTIR analysis, the sample undergoes a weight loss process during heating and the resulting volatiles are captured and analyzed by the infrared spectrometer. This coupled technique provides information on the thermal stability and thermal decomposition behavior of the sample, as well as information on the composition and structure of the volatiles.

The TGA-FTIR technique can be applied in several fields such as materials science, chemistry, and environmental science. In materials science, it can be used to study the thermal stability and thermal decomposition behavior of materials in order to understand the nature and properties of materials. In chemistry, it can be used to study the thermal decomposition behavior and volatile fraction composition of organics, so as to understand the structure and properties of organics. In environmental science, it can be used to study the thermal decomposition behavior and volatile fraction composition of pollutants, so as to understand the nature and source of pollutants.
